light bodies collection
Light Bodies was originally developed as a limited edition collection of five lamps and five sculptures, exploring the relationship between a functional light source and its abstract interpretation.
idea
The aim was to design a tripod table lamp for living spaces that could be easy manufactured from stainless steel. The construction was intended to be robust, timeless in appearance and suitable for easy self-assembly.
development
First prototype from 2018 was 40 cm high with black coating in a more industrial style, with a vintage style warm light bulb.
The final design is 60cm high with a styled smoked light bulb and natural steel exposed that is a flawless combination of art deco and industrial aesthetic.
material and construction
Made of soldered parts in brushed stainless steel without additional coating, reducing the finishing process and the use of eco-unfriendly materials. The electronic part is mechanically fixed with a screw and can be easily replaced, extending the functional lifespan and also can be used with different bulb sizes. The vintage smoked light bulb gives a warm decent light that doesn’t disturb while exposed.
